Stop water service

Moving out? Submit a request to discontinue service so we can read the meter and prepare your final bill.

What we'll need

  • Account number (from your most recent bill, if available)
  • Service address
  • Date you would like service to stop
  • Forwarding address for your final bill
  • Phone number we can reach you at if we have questions

We typically schedule the final meter read within one business day of the stop date. Your final bill arrives by mail at your forwarding address.

What happens next

  1. We confirm receipt of your stop-service request (usually within one business day).
  2. A technician reads your meter on or near the stop date.
  3. Your final bill — covering usage up to the meter read — is mailed to your forwarding address.
  4. If your account has a credit balance after the final bill, a refund is issued.
